After a career in finance proved to be unfulfilling, Josh was looking for a bigger purpose. The loss of his first dog, Dee-O-Gee (see below), pushed he and Jess to create a business that grew into what is now called Dee-O-Gee Care. He is the creator, owner, chief engineer, fun-builder, and more! Anything the dogs need, he will give it his all.

Some might think Jess is just along for the ride, but this business is as much her baby as it is Josh’s. She worked away from the home for years to support the growth of Dee-O-Gee Care and is now proudly working full-time alongside Josh. She grew up in a home with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and more, and it shows in her big heart!

He may be young, but Joey basically grew up at Dee-O-Gee Care and now understands dogs and their behavior as well as Josh and Jess. A babysitting arrangement turned into an after-school job, and has now become a career. Joey loves each and every dog like they're his own, and is the hardest working young man around.

After 14 years of meeting new dogs and conducting personality tests, Dottie may be retired, but she’s still going strong! She’s one of the most confident dogs we’ve ever known. After years of guessing she was a husky/terrier mix, a DNA test revealed she’s 50% Old English sheepdog, 43% pitbull, and 7% rottweiler!

This small-yet-spunky corgi knows how to hold her own living at a daycare! Born in mid 2021, she’s wise beyond her years. This has earned her the nickname “Bait,” because her personality is so much bigger than her size. When she meets a new dominant dog, they might think she’s an easy target—but they’re in for a big surprise!

Liddy is an absolute sweetheart, always greeting new dogs with a cheerful bark (ok many barks) of excitement! As a young labradoodle (born at the end of 2021), her combo of a big size and even bigger energy can be a lot for some dogs to handle, but her friendly, playful nature make her quick to win over any crowd.
